CLC’s primary focus is on the development of Chinese and BM (Bahasa Malaysia) enhancement programs, as well as collaborating with international programs to enrich children’s learning.
CFM guides children in developing listening and speaking skills with the assistance of native Chinese speakers. They are exposed to daily conversation topics to engage in practical and functional learning, followed by vocabulary recognition. We emphasize fun learning for every child by incorporating games and utilizing multimedia tools to enhance interactive teaching in the classroom. Our program utilizes various learning approaches, including pictures, storytelling, songs, Chinese rhymes, colouring, drawing, cultural activities etc., aiming to stimulate students’ multiple intelligences.
Age Group: 5-8 years old
Suitable for children aged, this program emphasizes creative learning methods to captivate young minds in the realm of the Chinese language and characters. Through participation in interactive activities, games, story reading, and exploring Chinese Traditional Rhymes, children will gain an appreciation for language and literacy. Additionally, they will develop a sense of well-being from their ability to read independently. They will not only develop fundamental reading and writing skills but also enhance their comprehension and communication abilities. Through this class, children will gain the necessary foundation to enter SJKC and beyond.
The Youth Chinese Test (YCT) program is an internationally standardized test of Chinese proficiency. It evaluates students’ ability of primary school and secondary to use the Chinese language in their daily lives and studies, especially if their mother tongue is not Chinese. Students are required to take both writing and speaking tests upon completing each level. The purpose of the test is to promote training and learning through testing. Importantly, the YCT exam is recognized by the examination board of the Chinese Government, adding credibility and value to your child’s language learning journey.
Age Group: 2½-4 years old
CFBM program focuses on cultivating listening and speaking skills with the support of native Malay speakers. Children engage in practical learning through daily conversations and vocabulary exercises. Our emphasis is on making learning enjoyable for every child, achieved through interactive games and multimedia tools in the classroom. Utilizing a range of methods such as pictures, storytelling, songs, pantun, and hands-on activities and games, our goal is to stimulate students’ various intelligences and promote holistic learning.
BME encompasses all aspects of language learning. Children develop their listening and speaking skills through daily immersion with theme books and interaction with native speakers. Reading is strengthened with a focus on syllable pronunciation and spelling. Writing proficiency is enhanced by mastering sentence structure, prioritizing vocabulary and grammar. Besides that, innovative hands-on activities engage children, fostering interest and nurturing their ability to take initiative in learning.
